Due to COVID-19 this workshop has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date. If you have purchased a ticket already, you will receive a refund within 2–4 weeks.
Come join us for a night of printmaking delight! Learn the basics of the relief printmaking process with local artist AnnaVittoria Conner. AnnaVittoria has been creating relief patterns for the past 8 years for multiple types of projects. The class will provide soft stamp-like rubber material to each participant. The material is so soft that it can be cut into any shape you so choose. You can select one image and carve 4-6 different sizes of the same image to then print or carve different images on each stamp. You can add text to your pattern or a second color. The possibilities are endless and so are the materials you can print on.
Our cash bar will be open if you’d like to purchase a craft beer, glass of wine, or a tasty non-alcoholic beverage!
We will provide you with paper and blank cards but suggest that you bring shirts, totes, fabric, tea towels, or anything flat you are curious to print on. You may also bring in art or photographs to create custom borders around! We will also provide the carving tools, ink, and stamp material/ linoleum. We suggest that you come prepared with an image/images to ensure that you have enough time to complete the project. We will also provide transfer paper and printers to help you transfer your design. Keep in mind that your image/text will need to be flipped. The workshop will provide you with take-home sheets explaining basic instructions, materials, and tricks of the trade to be able to continue relief printmaking at home.
This workshop is open to all levels but we recommend 16+ since carving tools will be used.
